Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 at NIC Peshawar – A Celebration of Ideas, Innovation and Community
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 at NIC Peshawar brought together founders, students, policymakers, innovators and community members for five days of energy, exploration and shared purpose. This year, we were especially proud to be officially featured on the Global Entrepreneurship Week platform—a recognition that reflects NIC Peshawar’s growing role in strengthening innovation across Pakistan and amplifying the entrepreneurial spirit of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The week opened with an immersive Open House that welcomed the public, academia, and aspiring entrepreneurs to experience the center’s innovation ecosystem. Visitors moved through guided tours, startup showcases, live product demos and mentorship corners, gaining a firsthand understanding of how ideas take shape and evolve into meaningful ventures within the NIC environment. The atmosphere was one of discovery, connection and inspiration, setting the tone for a powerful week ahead.
As GEW continued, NIC Peshawar convened a thought-provoking Policy Dialogue on “Building the Digital North: A Roadmap for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in KP.” The roundtable gathered leaders from industry, government, academia and the startup ecosystem to discuss how Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can accelerate innovation, strengthen access to finance, improve market linkages and address critical infrastructure and regulatory gaps. The dialogue emphasized the value of community-driven policymaking and highlighted the importance of purposeful collaboration in shaping a smarter, more resilient digital future for the province.
The celebrations also spotlighted the youngest innovators through an engaging Kidspreneurship segment that introduced children to the basics of entrepreneurship in a playful, hands-on environment. Through simple activities and teamwork-focused exercises, participants explored creativity, problem solving and confidence building while learning that ideas can come from anyone, regardless of age. This spirit of early-stage curiosity and imagination added a refreshing dimension to the week’s programming and reflected NIC Peshawar’s commitment to nurturing future change-makers.
Energy continued to build as founders gathered for a high-engagement Startup Huddle powered by the Bank of Khyber. The session created a collaborative circle where entrepreneurs developed new ideas received real-time feedback and learned from the live experiences of their peers. The event concluded with an exciting pitching competition supported by the Bank of Khyber, where fresh, promising ideas claimed the top spots and the winners walked away with cash prizes. More importantly, the session reinforced the power of shared learning and community support, proving that entrepreneurship grows stronger when stories, challenges and insights are openly exchanged.
The week concluded with a focused Empower Her session, powered by the Bank of Khyber, dedicated to financial awareness for women entrepreneurs. The conversation emphasized the importance of financial confidence, informed decision-making and accessible opportunities for women-led ventures. Participants engaged in discussions that built clarity, strength and understanding around managing finances and navigating the entrepreneurial journey with confidence.
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 at NIC Peshawar was ultimately a celebration of creativity, community and potential. Across five days of interaction, learning and exploration, the week reaffirmed the powerful impact of bringing people together and showcased the vibrant entrepreneurial energy thriving across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It reflected NIC Peshawar’s continued commitment to supporting founders, empowering youth and strengthening the innovation ecosystem—one idea, one conversation and one connection at a time.
